Cisco Ramon | Arrowverse Wiki. For his Earth Two equivalent, see Francisco Ramon. Cisco Ramon"Oh I wouldn't miss an evening with you even if it is for a showdown.". Cisco to Gypsy[src]Francisco "Cisco" Ramon[1], nicknamed Vibe by Barry Allen[2], is a mechanical engineering genius and a meta- human at S. T. A. R. Labs, also formerly serving as the prison guard to their makeshift prison[3]. He came from a rather poor Puerto Rican family, and provides much- needed comic relief around his stiff workplace. Cisco is also the co- leader of Team Flash. He was also friends with Harrison Wells before learning his true identity as Eobard Thawne, though Eobard looked at Cisco as a surrogate son before and after his reveal. He also developed a rivalry with Hartley Rathaway and a friendly relationship with Ray Palmer. It was later revealed Cisco was also affected by the particle accelerator, causing him to become a meta- human with the ability to manipulate the vibrational energy of reality. Biography. Early life. During his school years, he met Jake Puckett, who bullied him (by giving him swirlies in the toilet bowl) into allowing his homework being copied.[4] At some point of his life, Cisco met Melinda Tores, who he claimed was the love of his life. Melinda actually had a crush on him, but their relationship never became romantic as his brother, Dante lied to her about Cisco wanting to become a priest.[5] Cisco showed interests in mechanics at a young age, but his talent was not recognized nor deemed of importance by his family, as their attention were mostly on Dante despite Dante's insecurities. Cisco knew he was being under- appreciated, but it didn't stop his passion and he continued to pursue his dream.[5] He eventually became employed at S. T. A. R. Labs under employment of Dr. This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page. (Learn how and when to remove these template messages). Labs, Cisco became quickly at odds with his co- worker and senior, Hartley Rathaway. When Dr. Wells introduced Cisco as the newest member of Hartley team, the latter became skeptical of him, namely because on Cisco's penchant for hipster T- shirts. Hartley was likewise mildly annoyed when Dr. Wells placed Cisco on the same level as him, saying that "I have a good feeling about him, just as I had about you." While spending time together, Cisco and Hartley openly expressed their dislike for each other, with Hartley snidely remarking on Cisco's argot and Cisco telling Hartley that if he thought him incompetent then he should try proving it to Wells. Caitlin Snow introduced herself and intervened in their dispute, offhandedly taunted Hartley at the same time, much to Cisco's appreciation. In order to spite him back, Hartley stated Cisco would not last more than a week at S. T. A. R. Labs, but was proven wrong.[6] After Hartley was fired Cisco was highly relieved and hoped never to see him again, and Cisco became close to Dr. Wells with Wells regarding him as a son. Cisco also become close friends with Caitlin and her boyfriend and fellow engineer Ronnie Raymond, both of whom Cisco looked up to and regarded as family. Sometimes after The Hood came to Starling City, Cisco tried to find out the true identity of the vigilante, by making a list of people who might be him. By 2. 01. 4, his list included 1. Oliver Queen. Particle accelerator incident. After the S. T. A. R. Labs particle accelerator was switched on, it worked for a few minutes, before it began to malfunction. Cisco was sent down to the core chamber with Ronnie to shut it down. Once they got down there, Ronnie requested that Cisco put the accelerator on lockdown if he wasn't back within two minutes. He was forced to lock it down, much to his distress and was promptly joined by Caitlin. They were contacted by Ronnie, who told them of his plan to direct the impending explosion upwards rather than out, and so Cisco had to adjust the particle parameters to compensate for the change. During the particle accelerator's resulting explosion, Ronnie was seemingly killed as the accelerator exploded and produced a blastwave through the city that affected numerous people in Central City and gave them super abilities.[7] However without knowing Cisco was also affected. Following an accident involving lightning striking him, Barry Allen was put in a coma. After his situation got critical, he was moved to S. T. A. R. Labs where he was stabilized.[8] Sometime following his move, Cisco, along with Caitlin, met Felicity Smoak again during one of her visits to see the patient. The two had inadvertently met sometime before, but were actually introduced as substantial characters came at this time. Time in Starling City. A little while later, Cisco and Caitlin were asked to pack up a S. T. A. R. Labs warehouse in Starling City, following the massive explosion that occurred in Central City. The two were doing an inventory count, discussing the particle accelerator's explosion, when they heard movement in the warehouse. They went to investigate, only to find a security guard standing there. Cisco assured him that they were almost done, though he just stared them down, creeping him out. Before the man could reply, he spat blood out and dropped to the ground, with Deathstroke appeared having murdered the guard. Though Deathstroke pursued Cisco and Caitlin through the facility intent on killing them they find a gun created by Arthur Light, who Wells had fired for apparent insanity, which was capable of harming him. When Deathstroke caught up with them and readied for the kill but Cisco shot him with the gun allowing them to escape, though Deathstroke still escaped with the device he stole. Sometime after, they met Felicity Smoak and John Diggle at the hospital. Felicity asked about Barry's condition, and Caitlin told her how it was still the same. Cisco quickly blurted out that "Iris" had been visiting him a lot. When Felicity asked who Iris was, Cisco struggled to explain their relationship, causing Felicity to walk off distressed that "Barry's in a coma, he's already moved on". A little while later, Felicity met the two of them in a lab, with a vial of Mirakuru, telling them that she needed their help and that it would be their little secret.[9]Working with The Flash. Early days. Nine months after he was struck by lightning, Barry awoke from his coma to Lady Gaga's Poker Face, a song he allegedly liked. He called Dr. Wells down to lab as quickly as possible, and explained to Barry what had happened, introducing he and Caitlin. The two took a break as Wells showed Barry around S. T. A. R. Labs, explaining in depth what had actually happened. Later, after discovering that he had the ability to run super fast, the team of four headed down to an airfield. He had Barry put on a suit of his creation, which would hold up when he ran fast as well allowed them to monitor his vitals and energy output. He stood back, holding a radar speed gun, as Barry raced off, knocking over Cisco. He continued to monitor his speed, before he tripped over in to barrels of water. They headed back to S. T. A. R. Labs where Thawne and Barry discussed the potential for the existence of other people like him, specifically another who had super speed like Barry, though Dr. Wells was certain that Barry was unique. He left to meet Iris. After an encounter with Clyde Mardon's weather manipulation, he returned to S. T. A. R. Labs where he was angry at Wells for lying to him in regards to meta- human abilities. Cisco found the idea of controlling the weather cool, but Barry guaranteed that it wasn't cool, as it had caused a murder. Barry returned later, offering an apology in return for Cisco and Caitlin's help in catching rogue meta- humans. They agreed to help, and Cisco revealed a suit he'd designed for use by firefighters, which he believed would suit Barry's purposes well. Barry donned the suit and headed out to where they pinpointed Clyde to be. Cisco and Caitlin communicated with Barry, giving support. When Barry began to attempt to unravel it, Cisco stated his belief that Barry could withstand the pressure, which he eventually did.[8]After a run- in with a strongman at the Central City National Bank, Barry arrived back at S. T. A. R. Labs with a wrongly- healed ankle, after having previously broken it. They decided to re- break it, and Cisco did it as quickly as possible. Eobard Thawne | Arrowverse Wiki. For the scientist whose identity was stolen, see Harrison Wells (Earth One). Eobard Thawne. Status. Erased from existence (younger version preserved through the Speed Force)"I know it's easier for you to think of me as a monster but I've met some of history's monsters, Raymond, and believe me, I'm not one of them.". Eobard Thawne to Ray Palmer[src]Professor Eobard Thawne (c. May 1. 9, 2. 01. 5), also known as the Reverse- Flash, was a meta- human speedster from the 2. Eddie Thawne, a time criminal, and the archenemy of Barry Allen/The Flash as well as an enemy of the Legends. Obsessed with the 2. Flash, Eobard recreated the accident that gave the Flash his powers and became a speedster himself. But after his very first travel back in time, Eobard learned that he was destined to become the Flash's archenemy and grew to despise the hero, attempting to prove his superiority as the Reverse- Flash and therefore became the opposite of his former idol. Since then, the two speedsters battled each other for many years, but neither of them were strong or fast enough to defeat each other. After learning the Flash's secret identity, Eobard traveled back in time to kill Barry as a child in an attempt to erase his foe but he was thwarted by the Flash of a later time who brought the younger Barry to safety. An enraged Eobard then killed Nora Allen and framed Henry Allen for the crime instead. However, Eobard lost his connection to the Speed Force, becoming trapped in the 2. Realizing Barry was the only way to return to his time, Eobard forged a life for himself as Dr. Harrison Wells, the director of S. T. A. R. Labs, and pushed through for the creation of a particle accelerator to ensure that Barry would become the Flash. This also caused the existence of countless other meta- humans. Posing as Wells, Eobard mentored the Flash and became the leader of a team he assembled to stop the meta- human threats, to increase his protégé's speed so that Eobard could use the hero's connection to the Speed Force to return to his own time. After his plan was exposed and subsequently foiled, he was erased from existence after Eddie killed himself to stop him. One year after his non- existence, Eobard was prevented from murdering Nora, creating Flashpoint and held captive for months. After realizing this mistake, Barry released Eobard, allowing him to kill Nora. As a result of being pulled out of the timeline, Eobard was spared from his fate and continues to exist as a time remnant, while his original actions remain intact. Due to his own nullified state of existence being an aberration, he is hunted by a Speed Force enforcer, forcing him to seek out the Spear of Destiny in order to restore his natural existence. Unable to find the object and outrun the enforcer at the same time, Eobard formed a supervillain alliance with Damien Darhk and Malcolm Merlyn, and later recruits a past version of Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and the reluctant Mick Rory/Heat Wave as well. Eobard and his co- conspirators eventually retrieve the Spear of Destiny, which they use to rewrite reality to their whims. Despite initially succeeding, his plan was foiled by Sara Lance/White Canary who traveled back in time and de- powered the object, and Eobard was killed by the Speed Force's enforcer as his non- existence resumed, restoring the timeline. Despite his erasure from existance, Eobard's time remnants are preserved throughout history by the Speed Force, keeping his past time travels intact in order to stabilize the timeline (where his manipulations of it spanning years) and prevent further paradoxes. Biography. Early life. Eobard was born in the year 2. Eddie Thawne. A distinguished member within his own family, his first name "Eobard" is apparently distinguished. In his childhood, he was taught astro- navigation in grade school, and grew up at a time when cows were extinct. In his adulthood, Eobard became a scientist, eventually joining the academia as a professor and dedicated his life to unlocking the secrets of the Speed Force. At some point, Eobard designed an anti- speedster rifle.[1]In his research into the Speed Force Eobard learned of The Flash of Earth One, the Central City superhero of the 2. Flash and eventually became obsessed with and desired to be the Flash himself. In addition to The Flash, Eobard appears quite knowledgeable about numerous other 2. Star City vigilante Oliver Queen/Green Arrow with the hero's recorded death at age 8. Malcolm Merlyn having gained the Ra's al Ghul status at one point, and the H. I. V. E. leader Damien Darhk who tried to end the world in nuclear fire in 2. Green Arrow. He also learned about several key 2. Justice Society of America) and events. Eobard is also quite knowledgeable of his family's history, knowing of Eddie despite history having virtually no apparent record of Eddie's existence, considering his ancestor to be a failure within the Thawne family. After years of researching (presumably sometime in the 2. Eobard learned how the Flash gained super speed powers and recreated the accident that was originally behind the Flash's powers of super speed, resulting in Eobard gaining super speed himself and the power of time travel through a Speed Force connection. He also created a suit similar to Flash's but with the opposite colors.[2] Using his speed abilities, Eobard traveled back in time and eventually learned that he was destined to become the "Reverse- Flash", the Flash's greatest enemy and not the Flash himself. Whatever occurred, Eobard grew to despise the Flash with every fiber of his being, and made it his life's work to kill the Flash and prove his superiority as a speedster, indirectly fulfilling his destiny in the process as he descended into insanity. Eobard vowed that for everyone Flash saved Eobard would kill more, everyone who Flash was loved by, Eobard would take from his former idol. At some point during his time- travels, he also somehow obtained possession of Gideon, an artificial intelligence program created by The Flash. Eventually Eobard began searching various moments throughout history to find when Flash was active. Grandfather Paradox. Due to the nature of the Speed Force and Eobard's erasures from existence, the exact temporal mechanism and structure behind his time travels is unknown. The following are possible phenomenons. According to Eobard, the Flash he encountered before ending up stranded in 2. Tess and Harrison's particle accelerator in 2. Therefore, his first encounter with the Flash had to happen some time between 2. Specifically, the Flash was described by Eobard as a mature and veteran hero, unlike the rookie he would end up training himself.[4] When explaining his motives to Barry, Eobard (as Wells) is asked by Barry if they were enemies in the future, but Eobard corrected him, saying that their rivalry happened in a future, implying the possibility of alternate timelines; [5]Jay Garrick even states that the future is constantly in motion and there are multiple possible outcomes. This concept means that the Flash that Eobard fought was from a possible future that will not exist for Barry's timeline. As Barry exists far into Eobard's past, Eobard goes back to a past timeline that does not develop into his own, as his own interferences create new possible futures. This paradox means that Eobard goes to a fixed past that his own actions develop, yet creates new futures that will never come to pass from Eobard's own experiences. Alternatively, it's possible that Eobard's first travel through time triggered all his future actions that occurred across history to take effect at one, which nullified the existence (where Harrison's and Tess's particle accelerator created the Flash in 2. Flash in 2. 01. 6 of a new timeline he inadvertently created, with all the events transpiring between the night of Nora's death in 2. Eobard and Barry travel back to the night within the timeframe of the said loop, as well as Eobard's trips back to the future. This is supported by Eobard's time remnant telling Barry that "the reality you and I know will fade away" when the two were in the "Flashpoint" timeline.[4] If this is the case then while Eobard's existence was preserved through the Speed Force as a time remnant however, sparing him from Eddie's suicide in 2. Eobard would return to after his first encounter with the Flash should have been one where the Thawne dynasty never existed.
